If you are thinking of taking a trip North to one of our rocket Launches in the UP of Michigan the alaunch on June 16th would be good as
I just got off the phone with the Science Channel. They will be sending a Team to tape students working on the Adam Savage Bobble Head rocket on Friday June 15th and to take video of the launch on June 16th. The video will be used on a TV show on LDRS. You can see some clips from last years at the link below. I have also attached a picture of the rocket. I will be launching this rocket in New York in July and They are here to cover this as part of the story for the Science Channel

Because of the high risk of thunderstorms the date of the launch has been changed from Saturday June 16th to Saturday June 23rd at 10:00

This is the first I've heard of launches in the UP. Where have I been?

Do you have an on-site vendor for motors at these launches?

We have no onsite vendor but i do have some extra motor loads here if that is what you need and would like to come to the launch. If so give me a call and we can work something out

I'll try to call sometime tonight if that's okay. I'll be looking for Aerotech 38mm H's, I's, and J's, and/or a 54mm J.

J500 is the green J for the 38/720, right? If so, I'm interested.

Any 38mm H's?

I have them in CTI motors. I use most CTI 38 as they are faster to make and I make alot of motors for this launch

I'm a little odd that way - I actually enjoy assembling motors and prefer the more involved process of assembling an Aerotech.

Anyway, I'll give you a call later tonight and we'll work something out for one of those J500's.

I like that too but I prep motors for around 17 or 18 HPr rockets and time becomes important then for this launch

toward US-41/Hwy 41-141/Marinette/Iron Mountain.

4.1 mi
4.
Merge onto US-141 N via EXIT 192A toward Marinette/Iron Mountain (Crossing into Michigan).

91.9 mi
5.
Turn left onto US-2 W/US-141 N.

6.2 mi
6.
Turn right onto M-95. This is stop light after you leave iron Mountain
M-95 is just past Collins Rd

If you reach US-2 E you've gone about 0.1 miles too far Cross the bridge over the Menominee river you have gone too far.

You go up M 95 10 miles just past the Randville bar on the left side of the road. Take the First road on the right hand side M69 It goes to Felch, Ralph and Escanaba. Go 4 miles up that road and on the right side of the road is the Groveland Mine Road. follow the road to a right angle turn and do not take the turn go the right into the mine and stay to the left. there will be signs up to mark the way. Hopefully the schools internet will be up soon

Okay, I just need to ask one more thing: will a 1 1/2" rail be available? The rocket I will be flying on that J500 has large rail lugs.
