I guess the second time is a charm. Didn't get a lot of pictures or video, but the slow-mo pad cam worked well.

Landed about 300 ft from the pad.

I was really impressed with the Gorilla Motors Black Lightning. Reminds me of the old AMW skidmark (not the CTI version).

Thank you Frank & Bob!

Yes that was a great motor. What Gorilla reload was that. How did you get another L-3 rocket ready so fast? 300' form the pad that was unreal. I was just glad to see it stay off the road.

That was a M1610BL.

I built 3 large rockets this winter; a sledghammer, a 1/2 patriot, and a thunderbird (RDS).

The Thunderbird was going to be my original L3 rocket my first time through HPR about 10 years ago, but my attention moved on to other things (marriage, kids, etc...). I love the building process, almost more than launching them. Built 5 Art Applewhite oddrocks in the last month, two of them dragged raced on Saturday.

I'm just finishing up 5 crayon bank rockets for my kids to drag race in July.

My 'longest' build to date is a scale X15 which I started last year and just finished. I had to re-fiberglass and sand 5 times to get the contours right. I brought it to Bong on Saturday, but ran out of time, and motors.
