After several hours of low clouds, the Bee Two, a 1/5 scale V2 took to the skys with a spectacular boost. The M1850GG yields a bright irredecent green flame. The Drouge deployed after a long coast as the nose heavy V2 windcocked to a3850 apogee. The piston holding the altimeter in the nosecone bay deployed at about 1000 feet. But the main failed to deploy.... The rocket was recovered completley....some fin damage easily repairable and some scratches, the main charges deployed and the altimeter bay piston opened the main chute bay but the mail chute stayed in the nosecone. The pilot chute stripped and was not able to pull the main out. Mike Dybel , Dave Zupan and I searched for several hours and Dave found it in the Brush. Thanks Guys (they can find any Rocket)... It was just past the trees before the pond southwest of the runway! Thanks as usual to Frank, Dan and Ed (who left too early to see the flight).

Well, I finally converted my video of this flight and saved it to

ftp://24.167.242.54/BeeTwo062803_lo.WMV

Hopefully the webmaster will put it under the 'Videos' section. Enjoy!
