Lift off wt 53 lb., Length almost 14 feet, diameter 6 inches, all Carbon Fiber Concept 150, Est Max Velocity 1.25 Mach

The Boost was great but as the rocket went through Mach the apogee charge(s) seemed to fire, - Qwiz and Alts25's are SUPPOSED to be Mach immune. I have had the ALTS25 break Mach several times without problems but it is a barometrically read altimeter. The Gwiz MC series is an accelerometer, mach immune, although Ive never had mine above mach until Saturday! The booster landed in the lake about 1/2 mile out (Dave saw it touchdown). It appeared intact.... The upper airframe, nosecone and damaged main were recovered by the Coast Guard but not the booster, seems they lost it and couldn't get to it before it sank- it should have floated for a while, hopefully it will wash onto shore! Interestingly the main charge did not go off it was still secured to the chute payload bay. The carbon fiber coupler (thinnest airframe component) was also intact - those Performance hobbies Carbon fiber components are tuff. So it doesn't look like an airframe stress failure. It was a great boost for the first 5 seconds!
